- Moody, Tim Burton-inspired fall wedding at Blockhouse - Elizabeth and Kevin
October | A little moody, a little goth, and a whole lot of black. This fall wedding at Blockhouse and Pomarius Nursery was just a little different. | Photos By Katy Weaver Photography | This fall wedding at Blockhouse wasn't your usual wedding. It wasn't bright and white, nor did it follow the traditional timeline template. Instead, this unique wedding was filled with black and gothic accents, inspired by Tim Burton, fall colors and Halloween but without being overly Halloween themed. How do you do that? Well, hire a team that just gets it. We loved the assignment, and the vendors all understood the assignment! With a guest count of around 50, Elizabeth and Kevin wanted their wedding to be a place where their friends and family could meet for the first time, mingle, but also retreat to their own little corner if they wanted. So instead of a traditional reception, they hosted a cocktail-style dinner. We created multiple tables and lounges for different sized groups, that way everyone had multiple options to choose from and Elizabeth and Kevin didn’t have to create a seating chart. Instead of a buffet, Pearl Catering created multiple food stations that we spread throughout the venue for a more casual, choose-your-own adventure dinner. The most fun part about this design is that we got to help them design a few different tablescapes for each table type. One of our favorite areas of this wedding was the lounge space, featuring dark velvet lounge pieces and a lush meadow of moody flowers that we repurposed from their ceremony arch. - Bridgerton-inspired wedding with plum & purple details at The Oregon Golf Club
September | A moodier take on a garden wedding, with bold table linens and soft floral details. | Photos By Taneesha Lucas | Roya and Charlie chose the Oregon Golf Club for the undeniably beautiful garden, and the ease that the OGC provides on wedding day - they cover everything from catering, to bar, to rentals, to getting ready rooms, to sourcing and providing sparklers for your grand exit (one of our favorite unique amenities!). Like all real weddings, Roya and Charlie had a specific vision and budget in mind, and their version of this design was unique to them - we loved the way it turned out! We used what they had, repurposing the arrangements from ceremony to their sweetheart table, bringing in the colors to their dessert spread, and only upgraded a few items to bring in their ideal design. Behind every beautiful wedding is a talented team of people - see The Vendor Team who made this day a reality at the end of the gallery. Rose Garden Ceremony at Oregon Golf Club The garden has an existing rose & greenery arch, which we only enhanced with detachable arrangement for a more dramatic look. They also enhanced the walkway with a few aisle arrangements for a light-coverage growing aisle. Indoor reception at the Oregon Golf Club Their design was inspired by old world castle gardens, and Roya's favorite color purple. While the bridesmaid dresses were a lighter shade of violet, we used a darker plum for the guest table linens to bring in a more moody feel for this September wedding. We also helped them source gold flatware to better match the venue's included gold chiavari chairs. The team at Geranium Lake created gorgeous, airy arrangements with lavender and dusty blue to compliment the darker linens, and added greenery to the chandeliers. One of the statement pieces we loved was their sweetheart couch on the dancefloor, where they cuddled up to listen to heartfelt speeches. - Greenery-inspired wedding at Castaway - Hannah and Eddie
June | Hannah and Eddie played into the existing greenery at Castaway with a whimsical greenery arch and wild & organic loose greenery runners - no eucalyptus to be found! | Photos By The Ashers ] | One of the things we love about Castaway as a wedding venue is that there are dozens of potted plants that you can use anywhere to add pops of green and soften up the industrial space. Hannah and Eddie really leaned into the existing greenery and covered the venue in whimsical and wild vines. Most of the time when you search "wedding greenery", you'll see eucalyptus. But no eucalyptus was found at this wedding - instead they used other leafy that made the design a bit more organic. It made the space feel so warm and inviting! We know you probably have a Pinterest board full of floral inspiration, but take it from us - you don't always need flowers for a beautiful wedding! - Rustic wedding with mismatched charis at Ironlight - Lindsay and Chase
July | Mismatched chairs, farm tables and a laid-back Hawaiian dinner at the rooftop venue Ironlight. Photos by Hazel Eye Photography Ironlight has both indoor and outdoor spaces that include two separate rooftop terraces with views of Mt. Hood. Modern, classy, and full of natural light. This is perfect spot to wow your guests and make picture perfect memories on your wedding day. Lindsay and Chase actually switched their venue to Ironlight a few weeks before, due to extreme temperatures and wildfire smoke in July, but it ended up being the perfect spot for them. Their guests got to enjoy the view for ceremony, but retreat inside to the air-conditioned space for cocktail hour and reception. Their rustic and eclectic setting was a refreshing design to see in the space, a change from what we normally see there! See The Vendor Team who made this day a reality at the end of the gallery. - Colorful, spring wedding at Pomarius Orangery & Blockhouse - Erica and Jamie
May | Bright hues, metallic gold, and lush florals collide in this vibrant spring wedding at Blockhouse and Pomarius Nursery. | Photo By Lauren Miles Photo | Over Memorial Day weekend, Erica and Jamie celebrated their love with friends and family in the lush Pomarius Orangerie. Their color palette showcased saturated pinks, purples and peaches. Details of their life were everywhere - a Persian rug adorned the ceremony space to honor the bride's heritage. Their signature drink was named after their pup Chuy, who made a guest appearance. During cocktail hour, guests completed a giant crossword with fun trivia about the couple. - Groovy 70's inspired wedding at The Arc Light
May | The bright and airy space at The Arc Light is perfect for any style, but we wanted to bring some color, texture and funk into the space. | Photos By Briana Morrison | This styled shoot was designed for groovy and funky couples and to showcase the new, bright and light venue, Arc Light Venue. To pop against the white paneling of the venue, we styled the tablescape and lounge with texture (velvet, faux fur and rattan), a warmer color palette (amber, mustard and terracotta), and authentic 70s decor. This design takes a modern, sophisticated space and finds a mix between MCM, funky, boho-but-not eclectic to cater to fans of vintage and new alike. Our initial inspiration was the iconic 70s shag rugs and disco balls, bright colors and floral, but the vision evolved to take a more modern approach and with nodes to 70s style. We played with earthy, natural tones and blending textures (leather, velvet, faux fur, rattan, bright floral, terracotta). The white backdrop and wooden floors of the venue is loveable and the perfect for letting these colors and textures shine. Our favorite details were the floral-decorated golden cuffs in replacement of the bridal bouquet (hands free baby!), the sourced velvet paintings, and a colorful funky menu and cake for bold pieces. Brianna Morrison, the lovely photographer of this shoot also shot some polaroid's and flash photos: a nod to the high flash photography of the 70s. These shots set the tone for the shoot. Golnaz and Brad's multi-cultural wedding at The Griffin House epitomized elegance and timeless luxury. Their day was built on a sophisticated white and blush palette with pale pastel accents.
